Speakon Wiring For Dummies?

    I am just about finished putting my homemade speaker cab together. My plan is to use a Speakon jack, because I like the idea of not being able to short out my power amp. I would like to know the standard pin connections, so my speaker is compatible with mainstream equipment.

    Anybody know the pinout?

    Positive from speaker on 1+, Negative from speaker on 1-

    The pin numbers are molded in the plastic...

    I've found the easiest way to connect to the backside of Speakon jacks is to install a quick connect terminal on the wire, slide the connector on and then solder the daylights out of it...terminal to connector, wire to qc terminal.
