    Howdy,

Found a Specter Bob (or SSD) 5 string at a cool price. However, I know little about this bass. Unlike other Specters, this one has a more Jazz-like body shape. It's a 6 bolt, bolt-on maple neck. As far as I know, its a US made ax.

Anybody out there with any additional info?

    Thanx

    Ron

Thanks Tufnuts (nice name, btw). I checked that other thread which gave me quite a bit of info. I think I'm going to pass on that BOB bass (which btw, WAS the one Elderly was selling). If it was going for some ridiculously sweet price like $650 or so, I'd give it a shot. However, at a notch under $1,000, I rather spend a little more and get a G&L or Musicman 5.

    Thanks again

There is a Bolt-on in a shop near me. Made in Woodstock, signed by Stu, swamp ash with a green-blue stain. It is loverly.

    Say Zulu dude,

How much is that BOB going for? Is it a 5 string? Have you played it? Does this store have a website?

    thanx!

I don't think they had it on the page yet. I played it. Sweet. It may have been around $1,200 but I don't remember for sure.

    Thanks again Zulu,

It wasn't on their site. Besides, if it's over $1000, then screw it; I don't want it. I want either a sweet deal or I'll shop for a new G&L or Stingray 5.

    I appreciate it, bro!
