Thank you very much!
This is what was recommended to us from Todd after we could no longer find the original oils that he used at the Guitar House to treat our Pau Ferro and Ebony surfaces.
You are welcome, please look up this Dunlop Formula 65 cleaner so you will understand more about this and we do know that Stuart recommended its use.
I'm looking it up now
Hum, wondering what could be happening as it should be balanced right now...
Unwind the G string and then rewind it to insure its set properly, this should be balanced.
It sounds fine unplugged. It’s just when I introduce the preamp and pickups. Just wondering if the Tone Pump typically sounds like that ?
Not sure as to what is happening in all honesty, hum....still wound start with the string and would unwind it and spin it around and reset it first.
I’ll try that but I honestly think it’s just how the electronics sound as it’s fine acoustically. Had the same problem with one of my other basses until I installed Nordstrand pickup and preamp. Just wondering where to start with this bass. Considering the SNC preamp. Guess I can start there and move on to the pickups if needed.
The same of my former Coda 5 DLX “Big Blue” with its BEM fb. I personally asked PJ about it and he assured me that it had finish on it to seal the wood. It had a satan finish on back of neck that you’d think it was bare. Whatever you do, DO NOT use any product with any kind of citrus ingredients like orange or lemon on the BEM fb, as citrus will dry out the maple and with long term use it will eventually crack the BEM fb. Spector warns of this.
That blue is sick
Another picture for the archive. Gorgeous!!
Interesting. My '16 euro has a maple neck and is sealed.
So ladies and gentlemen here she is all oiled up and newer Nexus strings. This bass sounds incredible!!
that bass is so wicked. So is this one, now hangin' with me.
The man himself, Omer, using it in the studio for the first Trailight album.
What's the tone like with the nexus strings?
The one on the left is new to me. # 6/7 LE. The one on the right is my first Spector, #1/6.
