Spector Blueburst?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by russ wheeler, Nov 20, 2001.

  1. Hi everyone. Does anyone have a pic of a Spector in the color of blueburst? I just got a Spector in what I believe to be this color. It looks like a blue stain, but a very dark stain. It has a black fog applied all around the edges, and the entire back of the bass is black also. It also has gold volume and tone knobs instead of the usual black ones. It's a NS4CRFM. I e-mailed Spector, but they haven't gotten back to me yet. I sure would appreciate any info you could give me!! Thanks. Russ.

  2. Uh, I don't have a picture, but what you're describing sounds like blue burst to me, or what I would equate a sunburst, only in blue to be :) Sounds like a great bass, got any pics ;) Everyone likes pics ;) Come on... I want to see a picture!!!!!:D hehe

  3. OOooooor purdy :)

I've got to admit, next to my beloved Fender *ducks*, those Spector's are really nice looking :D

Hey Mr Dead - how'd you get a picture of my bass???

I lusted after a Blueburst Spector for about 4 years, then got my NS-5CR in Blueburst and was like a pig in ....

Hmm, how'd you get the gold knobs??? Did you order them or is that how the newer Czech Spectors come these days???

Anyway Russ - enjoy the bass!:D

  6. Thanks for all the replies! Yep, it's a blueburst. I got it on e-bay. It was a seven day auction, and I'm the only person who bid on it. I don't know if the previous owner ordered the gold knobs or what. It came with Trace Elliott strings, so tonight I can change strings. Thanks again for all the help. Russ.

  7. Hey everyone. I finally goy some pics. of the blueburst. I emailed Spector and they said that these were a standard option several years ago. They also said that they will occasionally have a "one off" or special bass,in their Europe factory, and that's what this one appears to be. Pretty cool!

Hey Russ. That looks REALLY nice w/the quilted body. Here's one that I sold a few years back. it didn't have a quilted body, though:

  9. Thanks Nino. The guy that sold this to me on Ebay had it advertised as a blue stain, and in the picture he had in the auction you really couldn't see color all that well. I wanted to get a Spector, and the price seemed right, so I snagged it. Imagine my surprise when I opened the case and this was in there!

  12. Was hoping someone had a good photo of the Spector blue/black burst in all it's glory? I'm debating on having one made with this finish. Please help me out with a photo or link if you could! Thanks friends!
