Up for sale is a practically brand-new, Spector Euro 4LX Doug Wimbish Signature bass. This bass is an absolute beauty. It plays and sounds fantastic. Tons of growl and power. This was purchased earlier this year directly from Spector stock, by a Spector artist. I traded for it a few months ago, and it hasn't been gigged since I bought it. I'm probably crazy for selling it, but I'm not really playing it and could certainly use the $$$! 1.5" nut width neck, relatively thin front to back. This neck is extremely comfortable to play. It's basically a jazz bass neck. Absolutely smooth like butter! Most Wimbish necks I've played have been fat, this one is great. Upgraded with a USA 18V HAZ preamp. Black Schaller hardware, Hipshot Drop Tuner. Lightweight Aluminum Euro bridge. Bass weighs in at 8.6lbs. The bass is in excellent condition with no marks that I could find upon inspection. One small finish imperfection on the horn which I've pictured. Overall, this is just an amazing example of a Euro Spector. Comes with an aftermarket hardshell case. Reasonable offers considered. Trade considerations: USA Fender jazz basses. {}
Great bass with an even greater price point. I have my eye on this one. I play a Fender Jazz V, how does the drop D tuner work ? Does it stay in tune when used ?
Drop tuner is extremely simple. You just flip down the "lever" and it drops the tuning. The Hipshot drop tuners are excellent, you can find many good reviews about them.
