Spector Legend 5 String weak and distorted sound

This is my first post. I have been an avid reader of talkbass for years. I have a Spector Legend 5 String with EMG pickups driven by the Tonepump Jr. The sound has become weak and distorted. Naturally, I replaced the battery and nothing has changed. If I plug into the passive jack of my amp, I can approximate what the sound should be like in the active jack. That leads me to believe it's probably the Tone Pump. Does anyone have any ideas of what this might be and how to fix it?

 

OK, tried 2 more batteries still no change. The solder connections on the pots and jack look good. Can't really see the connections to the tonepump that well, though there are no loose wires from the tonepump.
