Regretfully, I need to sell my 2007 Spector USA NS4 Buckeye Burl w/ OHSC. The bass in excellent condition.

Specs include: buckeye burl top/walnut back wings, maple neck through body, pau ferro fingerboard, abalone inlays, EMG 35P4 and 35J pickups, and the US18v Haz preamp. I'll also throw in a pair of 35DC pickups and a gold Spector bridge. The previous (original) owner had Stuart Spector sign the inside of the control cover at the 2015 Spector Hang. Very cool bass.

Price lowered to $2600 professionally packed, insured and shipped via UPS. CONUS only and no trades.

If I could sell my Thumb NT 5 String, I'd jump on this in a heartbeat. GLWS

As the former owner of this bass, I can tell you it is a great NS4. Plus, Japhy is a great guy to deal with.

Does the NS 4 have a similar profile to the neck on a Euro 4? Also, the body and neck look like they have a matte finish, is that correct?

Yes, the necks are similar. The main difference is the USA basses (including the NS-4) do not have a "volute" compared to the Euro. The volute is the bump that occurs where the neck meets the body. I just plugged in this bass again today. The neck is very comfortable.

As the original owner, the neck is definitely not as chunky as some of the more recent US builds I've played. I think it compares very favorably to some of the Euros. For quite some time, my 2 main Spectors were this NS4 and a Euro 4LX. It never felt like much of a change to switch back and forth. The matte finish on the back of the neck feels really great imo.

This bass intrigues me even though I have no business asking - what does it weigh?

It has the thinnest neck of all Spectors I've played, aside from my NS2A.

I'm not exactly sure. I will weigh it tonight and report back.
