Hi Guys following your advises, i have been checking the forum for a preowned Spector, and I get to this questions. Whats the real difference between the NS-4H2 / EURO / Forte. because are all them in a "similar" price at end and im not sure witch one to choose. I feel atract to the NS-4H2 because of the Aguilar pre, but on the other hand there is more basses available of EURO series in 5 string, and regarding Forte well there are not much of thme. so, i will be please to hear your thougts. thx Nico
the main difference is the ns4h2 is a bolt on and the euro and forte are neck threw body construction. i'd never buy a bass for it's electronics. instead concentrate on the things you can't change like woods and construction styles you can allways change a preamp and pickups to exactly what you want later
Euros have the Tonepump preamp, which has a bit more grit than the Aguilar (a good thing imho.) Post this question in the Spector forum and you'll get ALL the information and in-depth owner's opinions that you could want!
NS4-H2 = USA made bolt on. Euro = Czhek made neck through. Forte= USA made neck through, stripped down. I would put the NS4-H2 at the top of the list because they are closest to the top of the line Spectors, just in a bolt on version. Woods, electronics, options are all top of the line. Forte would be next. No options for anything, but it comes in any color you want as long as it's black! Construction is the same as any USA Spector. Euro is an overseas made version of the NS-2. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, but the USA Bolt On's are my favorite Spectors ever. Here are my two: The 4 string may be for sale. I don't know yet.
