Somebody's selling a Spector NS1000 in the local papers for about $400US. I've don't know much about Spector basses, and haven't found much on the net about this model.

Does anyone know how old this might be? I assume that it preceded the NS2000? Do you know what the difference is? Has anyone had any experience with it?
Apparently it's got an active P-J set-up, translucent blue finish.
    thanx

I've never heard of an NS-1000. :( Sorry. From the description, it sounds like an NS-2A Kramer era.

  3. I agree with Nino (funny how that happens)! If the bass has the "Spector" stock P/J's then it's definitely an NS2A Kramer era Spector. Of course the pickups could have upgraded. This is the only Korean made Spector I'm aware of to hace P/J pickups. The NS-2000 was preceeded by the NS-94 (4 string) and NS-95 (5 string) and featured the "SSD" logo on the headstocks.
