    Local Sale / Feeler
Up for sale or trade is one of the original Spector Rebop 4’s, made specifically for the Canadian market.

I am the original and only owner. The bass is in exceptional, next-to-showroom condition and has always been stored in a case, in a non-smoking environment when not being played. I purchased the bass at MacAulay’s, Cambridge, on December 31, 2000.

    Features/Specs:
    · Weight: 9.2 pounds (bathroom scale)
    · Nut width: 1 5/8”
    · Width at 12th fret: 2 ¼”
    · Neck + fingerboard thickness at first fret: .795”
    · Neck + fingerboard thickness at 12th fret: .924”
    · Exceptionally comfortable, NS design, curved body
    · Deep inset neck joint. Five bolt pattern
    · Three-piece maple neck
    · 34” Scale
    · EMG HZ pickups with an active preamp
    · Strung with D’Addario chrome flats.

    Full Disclosure
    · Tiny, barely noticeable blemish in the finish on the front. Just to the left of the 22nd and 23rd fret.
    · There are a few minor scuffs on the top of the headstock
    · Looking at the back, dead-on, you will not see any scuffing or scratches. However, when you tilt the bass you will notice one very minor scratch and a few minor scuffs.
    · Back cover has one stripped screw (still in the hole and has never fallen out)
    · Volume pot is a little scratchy

    Selling price:$650.00 CDN

I will also trade it for a P or PJ style bass of similar quality. I will not ship the bass, but will personally deliver between West Toronto and London.

    Nice!
I’ve been looking for one of these for a while. I didn’t know the 4-strings came with anything other than JJ pickups.

  5. Yup, the Rebop was originally designed specifically for the Canadian market with JJ pups. The EMG’s came along as version 2.

It’s a beautiful, well built bass.

If you ever decide to put it back up for sale, please let me know. I’m a big fan of ReBops and am still trying to get my hands on one of these early models.
