The bass is in exceptional, next-to-showroom condition and has always been stored in a case, in a non-smoking environment when not being played. I purchased the bass at MacAulay’s, Cambridge, on December 31, 2000. Five bolt pattern · Three-piece maple neck · 34” Scale · EMG HZ pickups with an active preamp · Strung with D’Addario chrome flats. Full Disclosure · Tiny, barely noticeable blemish in the finish on the front. Just to the left of the 22nd and 23rd fret. · There are a few minor scuffs on the top of the headstock · Looking at the back, dead-on, you will not see any scuffing or scratches. Nice! I’ve been looking for one of these for a while. I didn’t know the 4-strings came with anything other than JJ pickups.
Yup, the Rebop was originally designed specifically for the Canadian market with JJ pups. The EMG’s came along as version 2. It’s a beautiful, well built bass.
If you ever decide to put it back up for sale, please let me know. I’m a big fan of ReBops and am still trying to get my hands on one of these early models.
