Spector roll call

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Robot-trashcan, Apr 13, 2001.

  1. Well, I've been reading all these threads lately about Spector and people getting new Spectors and now I don't know who's got what, so post what Spectors you've got and any comments 'bout them.

So far I've got a black Czech 4 string, which just sounds friggin' amazing through my setup. I'm so glad I bought it. I also got a NS2000 Q5, which sounds good, but I'm waiting for my order of new pickups to get here (EMG is very slow). I can't wait to put those babies in.

How 'bout the rest of you?

Great to play. I like the neck's feel, just a preference. Spectors had a better image a few years ago when they were all made up in NY State. Now they are losing their status due to accessibility. Kind of like when Ernie Ball teamed with MusicMan. Same will happen to Warwick I'm afraid.

Black NS5CR - Verrrry versitile, great to slappp.
  7. I agree on you about the low end models. But remember, if they were ALL made in New York then you wouldn't have been able to buy your CR Spector!!!

True!!! I'm changing my styles now from more finger picking to more slap. I like the versitility of the CR but I'm thinking of moving to a bolt-on neck model.

That's a thought we could see how many spectors we can get into one room! I got mine used (not that you could tell) from someone on bassgear.com. It's the version just before the current ones it has a flame maple top instead of quilted, and the crown inlays.
  20. A sweet NS2000-5 neck-thru in clear amber stain.

    It's not a Czech...but I Love it anyway!!
