Ok, the resident Spectorphile and addict is reporting once again, cehck out these cool upgrades.. (that means you Polly!!!)

Spector has significantly improved it's professional series options for 2004. This isn't a fake "upgrade" like the Czech's and USA's got with the "spector active toen circuit" either.

The "legend" models are now available in the professional series line-up for $50 more list price than the regular professionals. They have a choice of flamed maple or bubinga tops, not just quilted mapel like before. They also have gold hardware (not that great, but oh well), a true NS body a 5string pickup config of humbucker/jazz, and what we have all been waiting for... A 3-band active tone circuit!!! You can now control your mids! Spector fans, rejoice!

Also, the USA models are now available with a spalted maple top. Best looking spalts I've seen. Spector seems to make nasty woods look great.

Also, the Re-Bop Deluxe has the Crown Inlays. They look really nice.

I've been thinking of getting a Re-Bop or a USA Bolt On for a while but I think I want one with dot inlays.

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $$ for the Czech Euro's- they are quite a bit better than the Rebop basses. You won't regret it!

EDIT- I didn't realize who i was talking to.. the man that has owned more Spectors thatn I've played. :D They do indeed look good Nino- I'm just wondering, why a Rebop over a CFRM or USA?

The Rebops are Czech's too. They're just bolt ons, as opposed to neck-through Euro model. I guess they got tired of calling them CFRMs.

But they're made in the same factories by the same people. Personally, I think the quality is the same.

Sorry for the mix-up brendan- I was rather curious myself as to whether the same factory made the Rebops. After playing Rebops and CFRM's I still think the tone difference is significant. Mine has the Aguilar pre-amp, which may be a big reason (as opposed to teh stupid spector active tone circuit "upgrade").
