Spector > Warwick especially when....

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Nickthebassist, Feb 5, 2005.

  1. YOU GET £240 knocked off the price! Yup, I just got myself a Euro LX5 in natural finish for £850(shudda been £1099). I played Loads of warwicks, a tobias toby pro 6 string(impossible for me to play), and two spectors. The Spector had more of the nice finger tone I'm after, and at a better price. Plus it looks the bees knees. I'm one happy bassist! :bassist: :hyper: I'll get some pics soon....

I'm glad you reached a decision, even though you knew all along. ;)

Congrats on the bass, man. :) You definitely need pics soon. The natural finish is my fav.

  4. Yeh, this has replaced a huge chunk of my arsenal. I tried just about all the basses I could, and this was definetly the nicest.

Its hard for us to let go :D ...I'd personally have gone for the 'wick, but those Euro's do kick some butt. Congrats bro, post some pics when you get 'em I'd like to see it.

  6. Indeed, the warwick rocked in their own right, but they didnt get the sheer warm depth I like...they have more growly mids, rather than deep, punchy growl, like the spector does. The only warwick that had a really deep tone was a Thumb, and I already have one(plus this wasn't a 5 string), so I got the 5 string spector instead.

Cool. Will this be the end of the "Should I get this...." posts for awhile?

So Nick, what does this leave you in the bass department?

  10. I have my Thumb ltd, my Spector Thru Neck(which really does rock, it can compete with any warwick i tried), and my Euro 5 LX thru neck.

If they're small enough, you can attach them.

I'm sure you can take pics on a lower quality/resolution setting. Check your camera's manual.

Hey you will need a photo editor to post pics here thats for sure! Try going to download.com and get a free program!

  18. Hmm, I'll get someone to host them for me. I'm not very good with computers.

Yeah that would be youre best bet! Glad ya made youre decisian and i look foward to seeing youre new family memeber! That was my main point was to try both basses because they are both awsome basses but they are so totally diff from each other as far as sound and feel! Big time in the feel dept. i actully use my spector usa for most of the tunes we do! But when i need to play some nasty porno funk the i break out my warwick corvette -pro-line! But i will tell ya this much about that spector usa i have when i play anything on my b string i can make my drummer give me this funny look like damn man but butt is rattling!
