Lately I have been wanting to buy a fretless bass.. And also I've wanted a hollow-body for when I am traveling.. So I thought maybe this could be the ticket.. Anyone own/played one? I'd like to see what you guys think of it. I'd imagine it be pretty good because it's from spector.. Anyways I'd like some reviews, ( and pics to if you got any ).. :D :help:

They are good basses, but I wouldn't pay over $500 for one. The action and feel is very nice, but the piezo pickup is a tad weak. The humbucker has a very full sound however, and if you blend teh two about 50/50 then you get a very nice thick and thumpy tone. I'd say give it a try- they look pretty classy as well.

Hmm.. I guess it's time to call around see if anyone has any to play..
  4. I've also been contemplating one of these. I've not had a chance to try one, so, for those of you who have tried/own one, how well do they "mwah"?

IME they don't... but I think the one I tried was old/ had old strings etc. It felt like butter but didn't sound that great.
