Spirocore Mittels 3885 vs S42

    How do you tell the difference between 3885 Mittels and S42 Mittels? Are the S42 longer?

    The distance between the silks on the S42 is longer, because they are made for a longer scale length. Not just the pegbox end, either: when I switched from S42 to 3885 on my travel bass, the silks, which had run right up to the bridge with the S42 set, dropped back about an inch or so as well.
