Is is split coil, quad coil, or what that lets you switch coils with a flick of a switch?

I'm half looking at making a P bass for myself (With the help of Warmoth parts), and was wondering if I could get a multi-coiled P, so I could run each coil into an independant preamp, ala Warwick Fortress.

    That possible?
  2. The split-P lends itself to doing this. I have mine set up to do series/parallel with a miniature toggle switch. The bi-lateral DiMarzio J pickups will do this also. Any pickup with 4 wires is capable of this.

I suppose you could wire two jacks for stereo so the E-A go to one and the D-G go to the other. I dunno why, but you could do it.
