Just curious if such a pup exists and sonically what does it compare to?

I have a notion for a build but curious if I can get splittable *and* skinnier than Barts.

    Tnx!

Barden will do 4 conductor wiring for you, which will allow splitting or parallel operation - call them and ask. I just wired a bass for a client that used a couple of their Jazz pickups and 4 conductor wiring.

Any J-style pickup that has full-length coils that is splittable would be too weak for any use TBH.
    You're better off getting some DiMarzio Ultra-Jazz & doing a series/parallel.

Keep in mind that in parallel they are still humbucking & you only lose 33% of the output volume, whereas a coil-split would mean losing 50% of the output volume.

Which way do you want to split it?

Just like a traditional HB, 4 conductor wires for N/S coils

Ah. The reason I asked is that hum canceling J pickups can have two coils that are parallel, stacked, or end-to-end. I wasn't sure if you wanted to get a single coil sound or send your E/A & D/G signals in two different directions.
