I have recently found two warwick tube amps for the same price at music store here in England: :hyper:

Warwick Pro Tube IV - solid state/tube hybrid (lots of tone shaping functions)

Warwick Quad IV - All tube w. quadruplex preamp

Both are 529pounds (good for English prices) but i'm not sure which one to get. The Quad IV lists for about 80quid more but still, price doesn't nessessarily mean quality all the time does it? With such a negligable price difference I am asking for anyones advice. Anything would be appreciated

    CHEERS!

  2. they both have a solid state power amp, so they're not "tube amps". that said, my preference is for the quad IV. it's not very much on power, but the quadrumatrix switching is very cool and the sounds i get using it an the 4-band EQ are very nice and diverse. i have a quadruplet preamp so i can get more power, but i bought it because i always enjoyed playing a quad VI in the store.
