I sprained my wrist a while back. I already took an anti-inflammatory the doctor gave me. It's probably back to 90%, and I can lift weights with an ACE compression bandage. Well, I'm considering getting an acoustic guitar, so I went to Guitar Center yesterday to look at a few. I also jumped on a bass for the first time in about eight months. My wrist felt very tight and weird when I put it on the neck of the bass and an acoustic I messed around on.

Should I still give it some time? Should I wait on buying an acoustic?

  2. Just give it time.

I personally wouldnt be lifting weights yet, you will just make it worse. Anti inflammatories will also slow down recovery, granted, they reduce pain, but it's a bit of a toss up there.

Id say just give it time, it can take a while to heal up :)

Oh, I've long been finished taking the anti-inflammatory. My wrist is certainly getting better but slowly. It's also getting easier for me to lift weights. The compression bandage really does help. My wrist doesn't hurt or anything at all. It just felt weird and tight when I twisted it to put my fingers on the necks.
