I don't have one, but I just wanted to ask - How/why do you like yours?

First and only bass. Only thing I've changed is the knobs, I put on cream strat knobs. I have a black pickguard, but I have to make some changes for it to fit. Plus, as you can see, I've taken off the D and G strings. Don't ask why :smug: Should look pretty nice once I'm done with it.

I'm planning on getting a Squier Mustang in the near future. Numbers would be great!

Not to offend anyone, but all the Affinities are junk. You can get much, much better for only about 50 dollars. If you just want something to mod though, they're fine.

  7. ouch. mate did a affinity steal your lunch money?

i payed £75 for mine and ok the pickups are kinda weak but thats my only problem. a decent set up is all those basses need and at that price plus £40 for a set up its hardly going to break the bank

I've played some crappy Affinitys and I've played some really nice ones.

I've played some crappy MIA Fenders and I've played some nice ones.

The best Affinitys I've played were preferable and better quality--to me--than the crappiest MIA Fenders.

I imagine it's quite true that there are more crappy Affinitys per capita than there are crappy MIA Fenders however.

    My Affinity has been modified.

It has a Pilot 22 fret neck and bridge. It is thinner
than a Jazz neck. It has an Orig Fender 62 pup that
is moved 5/8 inch toward the bridge. That gives it a
more in your face punchy disposition,

I have another Affinity P bass with a Jazz
neck and a Duncan Quarter Pound pup. I
did a rattle can refinish on it also.

  14. I would like a number please! Here's a pic of my Affinity P. Tort guard and Quarter Pounder are the only changes I've made to it.

Great bass. My only one at the moment.

I have a 1998 P bass purchased on the classifieds here. Great bass, but I've put it on the operating table for some new GFS pickups, new pots, orange drop cap, and nicer output jack. Pics when I'm done!

  17. Alright Sounds Good :D

Did you need any modifications to make that Pilot neck fit, or did it just drop in? How's the fit?

    Badass neck!

    Here's mine!

It's an 02 pawn-shop find for a steal that had a scratchy volume pot. $15 for a complete rewiring kit with pots, cap and jack and I have a great playing garage practice bass. :)
