This is an early 80s Bullet, includes OHSC. I've restored this instrument; bought it on eBay, had the body refinished by Pat Wilkins in CAR. There are no blemishes on the body that I can find. Light swirling on the p/g, a small dent in the back of the neck near the body which could be drop-filled out. A little bit of scuffing at the top of the headstock, but hardly noticeable. All-in-all it's in great shape, especially considering how it arrived when I bought it. Something very rank had been spilled on it and the whole thing stunk. Also I routed the truss rod adjustment in the pickguard, so it's easy to work on. I'm very proud of the work I've done on it. Paypal preferred, CONUS shipping included. It's set up with a very low action and plays great. I'll try to get some better photos ASAP.
It was my first bass, too! Although mine didn't play anything nearly as nicely as this one. Mine was badly in need of a real luthier to set it up. Those were few and far between in my hometown, though.
They seem strong to me-- classic P-bass tone. I was just playing along to "Same Old Love" by Anita Baker and it sounds exactly like that bass. I expect that was a P-bass used in that recording.
Here's a little ditty I just now threw together affectionately titled "Noodling on the Bullet" lol. It's sloppy and crude, but hey. This is the raw sound of the bass, no amps or effects, I just DIed into the board, hit record and thumped out a bunch of random notes.
sweet it is a nice sounding bass!!! I can hear that maple board, very snappy and woody sounding. Thankyou for taking the time. GREAT P BASS SOUND.
