I'm selling my hot-rodded Squier Pro Tone P/J bass. It plays pretty good and sounds great!

Here are the features of the bass:
    • Ash Precision Body (black)
    • Maple Jazz-size neck w/skunk stripe, Rosewood fretboard, and matching (black) headstock
    • Light-weight tuners
    • Heavy duty bridge
    • Seymour Duncan active Lightning Rods P/J pickups
    • Seymour Duncan Stc-2a preamp with slap contour
    • Warmoth Black Pearl pickgaurd
The bass is almost 5 years old and in pretty good shape.
The body was top-routed under the pickguard for the preamp. (The pickguard needs to be removed to change the battery for the pickups/preamp, but one 9-volt has been lasting me well over a year).
The frets do have some wear, but I have the bass playing buzz-free with little relief in the neck, and medium-low/medium action (and a fairly new set of D'Addario Slowounds .045 - .105).
Also included is the Fender gig bag that came with the bass when I purchased it. (I’m the original owner).

This is a very versatile bass that can achieve a wide variety of sounds. I’m just really into passive Jazz Basses, so I’m selling this one off to raise funds for (possibly) a ’75 reissue.

Sorry for the crummy pics, but they're all I have of this bass :(.

Please note that Any white marks on the body in the pics are reflections or dust from my scanner window. The finish on the body is in good condition.

Just to say people, don't be put off by the fact this is a Squier. I just got a Squier that's been defretted and modded (but not electronically) and it sounds amazing.

    genesis6891, thanks for the input.

Also, I should have posted earlier that this Squier is made in Korea, and not in Indonesia or China or where-ever Squiers are made now.

One quick bump before I'm off gigging all weekend.

Also, FWIW, I think I'm offering a pretty good deal, the new sale price for the electronics alone was $250...

DO you have the original red pickguard? I always thought those basses looked great with those and I can't say I like that grey pearloid.

This is a good deal, folks - snap it up!

Yes I do! It has some playing ware, but that's what it's for.
