What is the only logical thing to do with a bass purchased for under $200? Fix it up with lots of expensive hardware, of course. Actually, I already had a lot of parts taking up space so it was really an excuse to buy myself a short scale bass, something that I have always wanted. Modifications include: Leo Quan Badass Bridge DiMarzio Model J and Model P pickups Custom wiring harness and pots Aluminum knobs The bridge and the pickups I have had for years. I purchased a new harness, pots and knobs from Best Bass Gear. As a side note the wiring harness is excellent, virtually noiseless and the 1/4 jack is solid. They custom build all kinds of configurations, just ask. As of now this has D'Addario Tape Wound Strings. Looks cool, unique sound, plays great. I posted some sound files on SoundCloud if you want to listen. Samples played with Fingers - Bass Line is Lynyrd Skynyrd "Gimme Three Steps" Samples played with Plectrum - Bass Line is ACCEPT "Sonofabitch" Slap Samples - I am not much of slap player but I included some simple stuff so you can get the idea Bass Line is something I made up. Bass Line is Van Halen "Push Comes to Shove"
