Where can I find one of these SS Jags? I’ve been looking in stores...My local Sam Ash and GC used to carry them as well as many online stores. I wouldn’t mind a used one either. Are they discontinued?

I paid $159 this summer for a new one, now guitar center wants $300 for a used one. I think this little bass now is a economy classic (new term I just coined). Keep your eyes open on craigslist etc.

If you want it, I wouldn't wait too long. I'm betting it'll be gone probably by tomorrow.

Don't snooze on this one !!!

  6. Yep, if you see one of these for a good price, grab it immediately. I like the "Economy Classic" designation! Reminds me of what happened to the Fender Musicmaster.

Re: tuning, I'd say the tuners aren't quite as good as the ones on my Mustang PJ. But once it's tuned it seems to hold the tuning pretty well while playing.

Are the strings binding at the nut? I changed string gages and there is just a bit of stickiness there. Just a thought. Sharp bass, mine's

Has anyone else had the cloverleaf part of the tuners on Squiers loosen? After a few months, I always encounter one that loosens just a bit and rattles during play. I've replaced some with used MIM tuners found online.

Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounders....and am very happy with them. The difference is amazing. I thought the stock ones were okay, but with the 1/4 pounders it is a big improvement. How do you like yours, I have no experience with that brand?

  20. The Chi Sonic is quite the different beast, so far so good. Look up bi-sonic pickups, or darkstars if you are curious.

I am considering an SD Quarter Pounder for the bridge myself :)
