Squier Jazz Bass MIJ 1984-1987

I only know that (Fender) Squier started in Japan in the early 80's - the name was borrowed from V.C. Squier of Battle Creek Michigan, a string making company since 1890 that Fender acquired in the mid '60's. Most all Fender instruments were made in Japan in the 80's, including Squiers until the mid 80's (Korea), and briefly in India. So depending on your serial number will determine when it was made. (sounds like early '80's) In general top notch quality for those introductory years regardless of it's secondary line status - especially now w/aged wood and years of use.
