    Hey Guys,

Has anyone tried fitting the Squier V.M. 70's Jazz neck onto a m.i.m. deluxe active Jazz? Or vice versa?
I love the neck on the squire, and everything else about the deluxe. What I really want to know is if
there would be any fitment issues. Can they be interchanged with or without modifications? Thanks!!!!

  2. I checked around on the NET: they "should" be compatible... Just looking at the pics

I put a Squier DAJ neck on an MIM Blacktop body and the fit was PERFECT.

And I put a Squier Jaguar neck onto a licensed-by-Fender Mighty Mite body. They're made to be able to "dock" with Fender-spec and similar necks. You might have problems if your neck was from the discontinued Squier Standard series. Those models definitely strayed from the Fender "footprint" over the years. Now they seem to be lining up pretty well these days.

Thanks for the input guys, I feel a little more confident that I won't just be "throwing away" $200 by buying a
used 70's vintage modified jazz to scavenge the neck from. I might even swap the necks on both just to see
what I like the feel of.
