I have stock pickups, any suggestions what I should upgrade them too? I'm thinking Bartolini. But I know nothing about them. Any help?
  2. Bartolini's are clean and quiet and have good clarity and low end.
Recommend 8S (deep tone) and not 8SU (brighter)

Also, have heard good things about the Seymour Duncan Basslines.

I've had a passive Bartolini P model (8TE) on a comparable bass for 25 years now, and can thoroughly recommend it. It has a clear and open sound with a punchy, well-defined bottom, and is really sensitive to playing dynamics. The more you dig in, the raunchier it sounds, even though the output per se is not that hot.

First of all, do a search, belive it or not, this topic has been done here quite extensively before :)

Secondly, why are you unhappy with your pickups? What are you looking for in your new pickups?
