The official name of this thing is the Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass TB, but it's more commonly known as a Tele Bass. You're probably aware that these things get a lot of love around here. They're pretty well known for their surprising build quality and sound. Not just "good for a Squier", but actually, usably, fun-to-play good. The humbucker pickup is a little different from the original 70s one - not as muddy, and actually has a little definition to it. And it is LOUD. I think it measures around 30k. This particular one has been played a ton, but definitely not abused. No real nicks or dings I could find anywhere, but plenty of pick marks on the pickguard, which were tough to show in the photos. It has on some old flatwounds and sounds pretty incredible. It comes with a sturdy but well-worn hard shell case. $50 shipping in the CONUS. I'm up for trade offers. I'd be especially interested in a single coil Squier Tele bass (Classic Vibe 50s Precision is the official name, I think). Also interested in an Ampeg PF-20t. Otherwise, feel free to throw out an offer. I'm mostly in to old-type stuff (like this one, other reissues, actual old stuff, etc.). Feel free to message with any questions. Thanks!
The neck feels satin-y to me. And the year I'm not sure about. These came out in 2007 and only ran for a few years, so it's around then. I'm not aware of any differences between the few years of production. Sorry for the vague answers! I'll try to get more specific later.
I have a few of these. The neck and fingerboard are satin. They look unfinished but they have a satin sealer on them. The necks feel great but don't look so hot. These basses are beautiful but scream for a vintage tinted gloss neck.
