Squier Vintage Modified Tele Precision Bass

This bass look and sound great, play one in the shop and it sound better then MIM bass to me. The maple neck also look nice too.

Here is the idea i got, since this bass only consist of 1 pickup and is place right below the neck for that nice low end tone. I was planning to buy the bass then put a set of MM pickup right in the MM sweet spot and put a 2 way switch to switch between the 2 pickup. In that way i get both tone in a very nice sweet spot.

Have anyone done this before?
