    Volume/tone neck pup
    Volume/tone bridge pup

Bridge pup is a little weak unless it's dimed. When I had mine I basically used the bridge pup more or less to enhance the neck pup. As a matter of fact, that's why I traded it and got a Fender Jazz bass.

Decent enough to use the neck for my first, successful parts-bass project.

I had one. Really good bass for the money. The Duncan Designed pickups in those basses are no joke. I sold it because another bassist saw and heard me playing it in a pro situation and begged me to sell it to him!

It's not. Like I said in my post, it's a parts-bass. The neck is from the VM Jaguar. ;)

I have that one! It's pretty heavily modified. Babicz bridge, Fralin pickup set, BEAD tuning. I have mine string up with flats. Awesome bass. Mine came with some slightly rough fret edges, so it's kinda that level of instrument...
Great looking bass and plays nice.

I have 3 of them...LOL..I have the black, the sunburst, and the white....all I need is the red one, so if anyone knows where I can find a red one, please let me know! I have been watching GC used site, Ebay, and Reverb, but havent seen one in almost a year.

Well, they have those on GC and Reverb fairly often... thats not a bad deal. I run into them frequently when Im searching for the red one. They are great basses and very nice looking.
There is one on Ebay right now too

I usually only see the black ones up for sale, but I'll try to remember this conversation should I stumble across a red one. ;)

I have the opportunity to buy one of these locally this week.

The seller is including a Fender Rumble 75 combo amp and is asking $400 obo for the package. seems like a crazy good deal to me. I’ll offer $350.

Apparently these basses were only made for a couple years. I love the styling and I think the stacked knobs with separate tone controls for each (Duncan Designed) pickup is fascinating.

Here are some shots of the actual instrument:

Great basses! I have 5 of them...see my avatar ;)
They offered them in red, white, and TSB too...but the black ones are the ones you see most often. I had mine shielded inside the pickup cavities cause they were a lil bit noisy when I used them on stage, but other than that they are fine basses and play very nicely, and they sound like a P/J should.

Yup. Had one exactly like it. I’d still have one it if I wasn’t a moron. Sold it to by a Schecter 5 neck thru. Go get it. Unless something isn’t Right about the bass or the amp $400s fair. $350 would be better if you can swing it.

How is the balance on your 5 Jags? Is there any neck dive on this model? I’ve heard Jaguars don’t balance well.
