    Hey,

Happened to be at my local GC tonight as they were closing and also marking gear for tomorrow's sale. They mentioned that they were honoring the prices on the tags even though the sales event doesn't start until tomorrow morning. I couldn't resist picking up a Squier Modified Jazz for $219.00 (pics later). They also had a fretless for the same price (normally 279.00). A heckuva deal, I'd say.

That is a good price.....I still am happy with my deal from TPB (It is in transit to me as we speak) but for 219? If someone is thinking of buying one, do it! For that price, if you hate the bass you could still sell it as new, say for 279 shipped, and still make money!

  4. Are these basses good for finger style too? I tend to think of them as just good slap basses, but maybe they are more versatile.

  5. I love my J for fingerstyle, its a different kind of tone though so keep that in mind. Think of a fatter, less aggressive and harsh sounding P-bass when you think of finger style on a j-bass. Picking on a j is ok, i prefer a p-bass for picking style

they're awesome basses all-around though, good deal btw (to the OP)

  6. You shoulda bought two!
