Stacking a TC Electronic RS410 with a RS112... Bad idea?

The title says it all... On TC's website, this particular cabinet configuration isn't recommended.

I find the RS112 to be a very useful piece of gear, for obvious reasons. And since i own a RS410, your oppinions about this would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

    an 8Ω 4x10 and an 8Ω 1x12?

seems pointless to me, as half the amp power would go to the little cab, which you wouldn't even hear over the big cab.
  3. Not to mention it would cause serious phasing issues

  5. i have owned 2 ampeg 610's, an ampeg 810, and now a berg nv610. the ampeg 610 was pretty easy to move around with the side handles (both the 810 and 610 have the tilt back caster wheels and built in towel bar, but the 610 also has side handles) and weighs a little less than the 810. that aside, i didnt really like the sound of the ampeg 610. a) its ported, which i am generally not a fan of. b)didnt really like the tweeter. and with the insane amount of high end from all the od/distortion i use, i almost blew the tweeter multiple times. the ampeg 810 sounded way better than the ampeg 610. but after reading all the reviews on here and then finally getting to try a berg nv610, i was blown away. all the punch (if not more) of the 810, but with way more low end presence and waaaaaay easier to haul. weight is not really an issue to me when it comes down to it, but it was definitely a plus. as others have said, ultimately it all depends on what sounds good to you.
