Stainless Steel/Chrome pickguard

    I've got a midnight wine MIM P-Bass which I am really pleased with so I've decided to keep it around a lot longer, I'm going to upgrade the pickups and I was thinking about making my own pickguard. I think that a stainless steel or chrome one would look so sexy, but I am not sure if it will cause problems with the electronics.

    Any tips?

    I saw Motorhead back in the late seventies and one of the guitar players had a dark brown strat-looking guitar with a chrome pick guard. I remember it being pretty aggravating 'cause it was reflecting the lights into the audience and was quite distracting.

    You know you liked it :D

    So if I were to manufacture my own and put it on the current of electricity would not hurt anything. Because we all know metal likes to let it flow, or should I somehow ground it?
