I'm not sure how long it's been there, but I just noticed that when you click on someone's profile, it lets you know what the member is up to. It tells you what forum they're in, what thread they're reading, what they're replying to, if they're sending a Private Message, etc. It's a little creepy...you can basically track every movement someone makes on TalkBass from when they log on to when they log off

Jazzbo can't anonymously view the "Bass Babes" thread for hours on end anymore :p

There's an "anonymous" option in your "My TalkBass" that will turn tracking off. Why are you so concerned about it anyway? :D

One of my friends and his mate decided to do this stalking thing using only the internet. They knew nothing about each other except for first and last name, and they had a challenge to see who could find out the most about the other. Winner got $20

Well they met up a day later..and had found out addresses, drivers licence numbers, bank account numbers, schools from age 5, a few photos, sports teams, email addresses.....creepy.

Well, you know what they say.

Rome wasn't built in the bush.

Or was it better late than a skinned cat?
