Does anyone know of a company that makes a standard/long length scale violin style bass? not too neck heavy(preferably not at all...)as a standard model? Im really loking for a fretless so I might be stuck with custom...

  4. There are several companies that make chambered standard or long scale basses, but the body shape has a longer top horn to prevent neck dive. A light weight body with a short horn and 34" scale neck isn't going to be balanced.

I had mine built at 30.5 scale.
  7. I'm sure any given luthier could potentially do it, but the body would be really big if you wanted to keep the same body shape proportions.
