    Hello
I have a GK MB500, its starting to make staticky noises. its not my cable as i plugged in my RB700 and its quiet. Could it be a faulty capacitor?. GK said it will be a long time before getting to look at it because the pandemic. Thanks

Why is it that whenever an amp starts acting up it's immediately blamed on a faulty capacitor? <sigh>

Try jumpering the effects send to the effects return. That's all I got. Maybe a little less cranky and a bit more helpful response.:banghead:

    Double sigh...

Why would anybody think it's a capacitor (one of the least likely of the hundreds of possible causes)

Try inserting a 1/4" jumper between the effects send and return and see if the symptoms go away.

If not, your best bet is to follow GK's directions to get proper service. If your unit is under warranty, absolutely don't try to repair it yourself as you would void any warranty you have.
