Anybody had any experience of this model of the Status british-made active basses? I have the chance to pick one up used for $450.

  2. I have two Trace elliot T-Basses and they are wickednice! They were made by Status. I have played a couple of Status basses also, and if you don't pick it up for $450, let me know and I will.

If it's in good condition, I'd say so. I've played several Status basses, with both wood and graphite necks. They are some of the most playable instruments I've come across!

ive owned a t bass and several statuses, specifically the status energy 5 but this one had EMG electronics.

structurally, the bass is very sound with that "wood" tone. the parts are stable and the frets last long.

my only gripe is that the tung oil finish is easily scratched.

Thanks for those pinions. I'm going to have a look at it on Sunday, I'll let you know how it sounds.

status oooh, expect an unfathomably low action, huge lows and bright highs- I played one, it even made me consider breaking my slap vow.
