Hi everybody, I purchased a used Status Streamline 4 ... it arrived today.
It arrived in tune, all except for the A string, which is below E and whose tuner, when wound, grinds to a halt well before the correct pitch is reached.
Anyone have any ideas for troubleshooting?

Are they double or single ball strings?

Hi. They're double ... I realized upon posting I should have checked if it broke at the bottom!

Will do so when time frees up and report back ... this is my first headless and I'm beyond ignorant.

Thanks! Well, it's not the string ... what happens is when the string catches and I wind the tuner, the screw pops out and I can't wind up to the correct pitch. The spring seems to work; everything on the A saddle resembles the others. It's a head scratcher.

Solved! The previous owner pulled up the string too much at the headstock. I increased the string length so the bridge piece could pull the string back more.
