I am the original owner, receipt included. They listed it as an H-2, but I think it was the 1st one they had ordered. All original, (swivel plate, leg-rest, extra set of non-ball end string adapters) except for the 2 screws between the pickups and the case is Gibson-era. It had a superb refret by Richard Stanley in the early 90's, little use since..

Very good but not mint, misc wear, EMG lettering worn, Steinberger stencil worn, some residue from a sticker on the front I didn't try very hard to remove.

    New set of Pyramid Golds.

It sounds great, pots quiet, Perfect Balance.

Feel free to ask if you have any any questions.

$2050.00 shipped to the Lower 48 United States.

Trades for Magnificent Single Pick-up 5'ers considered.

    Yes, it is indeed cool.

I switched over to 5's in the early 90's, and it has basically been a display item since, save for the annual battery change and occasional new strings.

    I think it's bored.

Absolutely super cool that you have the original receipt and the plexi display stand! Absolutely adds to it's value IMO. GLWTS. :)

    Thanks, mikeddd

I would have still had the original case, but around 20 years ago I left it in the other room during an audition. When I went to get it, found a Great Dane, the handle and a zipper....

What are the two non-stock screws between the pups for?

    Hello, Bergerman

The screw holes and receptacles are stock, it's the screws that are non-original

At one point, it had a cocobola face place that required longer screws.

When I returned it to original, I ordered the original screws from the original manufacturer, McMaster-Kerr. I assumed all 6 were the same, but the 2 between the pickups were a tad longer. I have to purchase them in lots of 100, so I decided the non-original screws, in the original screw holes were fine.

    Best,

    Peter

  18. Hi, that is a beautiful Steiny - are the string adapters the threaded grub screws at the end of the neck, or something else?

    Sincerely

    Andy

    Hello, Andy

As you thought, the threaded grub screws at the end of the neck.

Four came with it, but when they discontinued the double-ball Pyramid Gold, I got worried I'd lose them, ordered a couple extra from Steinberger.

The extras fit in the battery compartment, harder to lose.

Here is a picture of them:

    StringAdaptors.

  20. Thanks very much Peter, I appreciate the information and photo... wish I wasn't paying off a Nordstrand, otherwise I would have the cash for this beautiful L2.

    Andy
