Steinberger XP-2 $1200

I e-mailed these guys a month or so ago to ask about the model--it's advertised only as a "vintage Steinberger"--and it turns out they have no idea what they're selling. I figured out it's an XP-2, the passive version (judging by the middle placement of the "EMG" logo on the pickups). It's pretty scratched up, but it's at least half a grand less than any other XP-2 on the bay or the verb at the moment. The sellers seemed pretty open to haggling, but I ended up going in a different direction. Worth checking out!
