Any thoughts on steinbergers?
Anything in particular?
If you're going to get one, try to get your hands on the all composite(XL) model or the wood body (XQ series) model with a composite neck. Both basses are great for traveling. I personally like the XL, cuts through like a knife through butter. The XQ's vary in character, the ones with the Bartolini's are warm and phat, the ones with the Seymour-Duncans are more modern sounding. There are good deals to be had for used ones, you just have to look around.
Do you know of any places I could look aside from ebay and harmony-central's classifides. My only option right now is a used one, as they postponed making composite basses until next year. Thanks.
Davo....try the guitarmall at this website. They are an umbrella website for many dealers around the country.
