I just took some pictures with my digital camera (also just realized my brother found the software for it. ) Here goes... http://www.geocities.com/cvinfestedcv/Sterling-Amp http://www.geocities.com/cvinfestedcv/Sterling-Mark http://www.geocities.com/cvinfestedcv/Sterling-stand-body http://www.geocities.com/cvinfestedcv/Sterling-stand-headstock Edit: I couldn't get the pictures to load properly. So I just put the links. Tell me what you think.
cool bass CE, i like the painted headstock, it works well with the maple board, i hope you and her get on together, unlike that hussie of a yamaha at the music store, sorry just thinking out loud, i can't give you too much praise [wisper voice on] i think the 5's listening behind the door, shhhhhsss [wisper voice off] sorry man, i'm in a funny mood today, like i said shes a beaut, i hope she plays as good as she looks. stu
Saying she plays as good as she looks is an understatment. She looks incredible, IMO atleast... And sounds, and feels twice as good.
Very nice!!!!! The matching headstock should be standard on all of their basses. <a href="http://www.theoremnyc.cjb.net"><img width=385 height=70 src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1174383&a=8647027&p=41535909&Sequence=0&res=high" border=0></a>
Very nice looking. BTW, is that a Danelectro Daddy-O pedal next to your amp? If it is, I'm sorry. Rock on Eric
very snazzy. i'm not a fan of the colored headstocks, but the white is better than the rest of them. enjoy 'er!
Yeah, the effects are a Danelectro Daddy-O, Boss Bass Overdrive (Od-3), Bass Zoom 506. The Daddy-O I use for guitar, and I don't really play guitar much, the guitarist to my current band sucks, so I have to make guitar parts for him.
Actually, I was debating getting a Sterling fretless, I think maybe a few years down the road... Lined Sterling Fretless? Yeah... I wasn't quite sure of the colored headstock, but I actually like it quite a bit. Yeah, I agree, I'm quite glad I got the matching headstock, now. In some of the pictures I took it looks like it's a really light white, but it's actually not all that bright, and not all that dull... I don't know... It's just a lot less of a bright shade of white... than the picture leads you to believe.
Hey CE, My SR 5 is white, with matching headstock, white pearl guard, and white PU cover. I love it, man! If it didn't have that pau ferro board, it would definitley get lost in a snowstorm. Enjoy that Sterling. Doc
Wow! All white and shiny!! Very nice!! Mind you, lovely though it is (and the matching headstock is very nice), I have to say I prefer mine! .... even if it is a bit grubby now. So now you've shown me yours, I'll show you mine!... hope you can spot the lovely figuring on the neck (sorry I haven't got any photos of my bass without me!)
congrats CE. may the Sterling bring you years of toneful happines and end your quest for the perfect tone (and then you'll buy more basses just for the fun of it).
Man that looks nice, Crawling. Now I have to start my Musicman withdrawal therapy all over again. Enjoy it! Mike J.
It's a maple board, actually... It probably would get lost in a snow storm, except for the black/white/black pickgaurd. A side note: The only Sterling's made with pau ferro 'boards are the Fretlesses. Your picture didn't quite load... Perhaps you could just post a link to the picture? And, I don't see a problem with you being in the picture... Although, than again, I don't see the picture! Thanks, it's already brought me more than enough hapiness. Rest assure it'll be in my hands for a very, very , long time. I'm tellin' you! Don't get mad because you don't have one... Go get one!
I was thinking about that... But I think that'd make it look like one of the cars that consists of 5 different colors. And thanks.
Thanks... Now that I've had her for a while, I think the E and A strings are a little too strong sounding... I think it might not be such a bad idea to lower the pup so it evens the sound out a little. Only thing I'd consider changing. I probably won't even do that though.
CrawlingEye, Bitchin' bass. The matching headstock adds class to a hella classy instrument. If you like white basses look at this http://www.seibass.co.uk/whiteleds.html Matt "You guys are giving terminal GAS"
