Hello. I remember reading here some comparisons between the 2 MM's, but nobody said anything about the necks. I went into a GC this weekend and tried a Sterling and found its neck to be very similar to a Jazz neck. I've wanted a MM for sometime, but never liked P-style necks.

So, am I right? Is it just Sterlings that offer the thinner neck? I didn't see neck options offered at the MM site. Thanks. -Dan

Sterling is J-spacing. The other main difference is the electronics are roughly equivalent to the Stingray 5. There is a 3-position pickup selector switch (series, single coil, parallel), and 3-band eq. I found that I could get a few different tones out of my Sterling...it is a more flexible instrument than a Stingray (imho).
