Sterling sub series. All three wires connecting to my input jack came undone. Does anyone know what order they connect to the circuit board? And is there a way to connect them other than solder since the connections are so close together?
The circuit board looks undamaged, so I would just solder them back to their original locations. Use a solder sucker or wick to clean up the solder pads first.
But do Do you know what order the wires go in? Red white and black? And the wires were never soldered. They appeared to be glued. Should that matter? I'm fairly new to small electronics repair.
Here is the wiring diagram I have. The wires are most definitely soldered and not glued. The «glue» acts as a strain relief and insulator. If you are new to soldering, you might want to practice a little before working on your bass. Take care not to touch other wires with the hot soldering iron.
