Sterling vs. Stingray

    Can you get a pretty convincing Stingray tone out of a Sterling? I'd like your opinions on the pros and cons of both basses.

    Yup, IMO you can.

    It's pretty simple, as far as I'm concerned:

    * Do you like P necks? Get a Stingray.

    * Do you like Jazz necks? Get a Sterling.

    I think the Sterling is slightly more versatile than a four string 'Ray because of the pickup configuration switching (which the five string 'Ray also has).
