Steve Harris & Effects???

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Terrorstorm, Feb 25, 2005.

  1. hello..
I'm just interested in it and maybe some of you know...
Does Steve Harris of iron maiden use any effects??
I know nearly all the official songs of maiden, but I could never hear any bass effects.
I don't know anything about his gear, and I also don`t know what kind of amps he plays.
I asked in the Amps section about it, but no one replied.
Do you know something about his equipment??
    thank you..

Didn't he play around with a bass syth around the 7th son of a 7th son album? I don't recall a specific song, just reading a credit on the album.

I know he uses some sort of compression, but I don't think he uses much else (if anything).

there was Bass pedals used on "Somewhere in time" but they went over to keyboard on Seventh son, cause steve wouldnt "limit himself to run back and press pedals at some points" The intro to "Caught somwehere in time" have a bass synth pedal i belive it is..

the X factor i belive he used Chorus atleast on "Blood On the worlds hands" intro.. i had problems with getting his tone there and used chorus and got the tone straight on...
  6. ok.. thanks for replying.
