Well, as the title states, it's finished. :) I haven't played it much cause I want the bass to sit for a few hours so the neck can settle & I can give it a final set up but it sure is a looker!!!! The neck feels very nice & it is VERY LIGHT WEIGHT!!!!! It's about 8 1/2 lbs on my bathroon scale. The bass is very resonant played acoustic. Here is a rundown of what I used.
    • Steve Haris Precision bass body
    • AllParts 70's style Jazz neck
    • Sadowsky P/J pickups
    • Schaller tuning machines
    • HipShot D-Tuner
    • Gotoh 201 bridge
    • 3 ply mint green pickguard
    • Volume & Blend control (no tone control)
    • Schaller strap locks

Now for some pictures. This is when I first installed the pickups:

That is really nice looking........I like the look of the block inlays & binding with the P body. It makes it very obvious that it's a jazz neck on a Precision......kind of like the bass says, proudly, "Yes, I AM a Hot Rod"........

    Haha...

    Much better !

    JP :D

  14. Wow Nino, that looks great. I've played a couple of Steve H models and liked them a lot, an added J pup will only make it more versatile. That bass looks SO MUCH BETTER with a rosewood board, but, that's how I feel about all basses.

    That really caught my eye.

    Good luck with it.

Looks great. Are those rounds or flats? You're making me want to put a P together. How much do you have invested in that?

I didn't think it was gonna visially look as good as it does!!!! The LPB finish with the mint green guard & the bound/block inlayed neck is AWESOME!!!!! I have it hung up nest to me & I can't stop looking at. You'd think is was a PlayBoy book or something. :)
