Steve Harris tone on the Line 6 Helix

Put together a little preset. Turned out pretty decent, imho!

 

Used the bass less tracks for reference when I dialed in this tone But sure - I can do it during the week!

 

The tone’s up on the Custom Tone page if you want to try it out The tone is basically based around the Obsidian 7000

 

Nah, Billy is still tweaking his tones - but he has said that he’ll share them soon enough. He just doesn’t have enough time on his hands to “finish them”, so to speak.

Jon Willis is a friend of mine. A great bass player and a wizard of the tone shaping. His presets are also up on the Custom Tone—page (Look for JSchwalls).

To be able to download from the custom tone page, all you need to do is to register your e-mail and make sure that you have the Helix editor installed. Then you just download the patch, import it (drag and drop) to the Helix and off you go!

 

Go here: Line 6 and scroll to “HX Edit” in the Software-menu!
