    Hi all,

I've just launched a new venture, the Recycle Collective - a monthly night at darbucka in Clerkenwell featuring me with various fantastic collaborators.

The first one is on november 16th is a double bill - my duo with Theo Travis, and american solo bassist Trip Wamsley - Trip is over here for Bass Day UK so this will give a chance to those of you that can't make it up to Manchester to get to see him. He's amazing - check out some of the MP3s at www.tripwamsley.com

Theo Travis is the saxophonist/flautist that I recorded 'For the Love Of Open Spaces' with. He leads his own quartet, was in Gong for years, and is on the new David Sylvian album. He's incredible, and it's probably my favourite musical duet to play in. you can hear a couple of the tunes from the album here.

    Date - Nov 16th
    Time - doors 7pm
Tickets - £6/£4 on the door or get them online in advance for £5.50/£3.50
venue address - darbucka world music bar 182 St John's Street, Clerkenwell, London, EC1 4JZ
    Nearest tube - Farringdon.

have a look at www.recyclecollective.com for more, and please spread the word.

Each month we'll also be collecting a different item for recycling - the first month, it's old mobile phones, which will all go to Oxfam for recycling. If you bring an old mobile you'll get money off Cd sales on the night! :)

    cheers!

    Awesome!!!

One of the best days of my bass playing life was watching Trip play in my living room...

He was extremely nice and can play his butt off!!!!

He even called during a hurricane to see if things were ok!!

    Great guy. Thanks Trip!

Alas, I won't be able to make it. Hope some bootleg recordings make their way onto the net ;) - I expect it will be a stunning evening.
