I've found a great use for the pitch shift effect in my GT6B.
After much fiddling, and surfing the net for the correct settings, I am now able to get a passable resemblence to the eventide harmoniser effect as used on Steve Vai's Ballerina track. (Yes I know it's not bass, but it's still a great track).
It involves use of the pitchshift effect, with 2 delays. The 1st set to a 6th up (+9) with a predelay of 120ms, and the 2nd set to a 4th up (+5) with a predelay of 240ms. Add a touch of chorus and reverb, and bob's yer uncle.

Now I just need to learn to play the damn thing properly:(

I may even try to come up with a bass solo based around the same idea
